Schools
Today, most students begin school at five or six in a public school building. There are about twenty to thirty students per class with many classes within one school building. The school day typically lasts seven hours.
Children start out in an elemantary school, where they attend kindergarten through the fifth grade. They are taught reading, writing, math, science, and some PE, art, and music. They have luch and recess in the afternoon.
After that, the students move into middle school at around age twelve for grades six through eight. Here they have the same classes they had an elemntary school, but with some other electives such as foreign language, theatre, and honors classes. There is no more recess.
Finally, the students begin high school. This begins at about age fifteen and contains ninth through twelfth grades. Again the classes are the same, but at much higher levels and even more elective options.
After high school, most people choose to attend a college. This prepares them for a career. There are many different colleges and types of colleges, such as business colleges, community colleges, liberal arts colleges, medical schools, and major universities.

Why Attend School?
These days, if you don't go to school, it is nearly impossible to be sucessful. Businesses will not hire someone who doesn't have at least a high school diploma. The more education you have (and the more you understand in terms of your chosen major), the more likely you are to have a steady and paying job. This leads to so many oppurtunities, like entrepenuership or even just being a homeowner.
And if you work somewhere that requires nothing more than a high school diploma (or even less), chances are that place also serves fries.
